Sustainability Action Plan
Our Commitment
Please download our Sustainability Statement here: LDI Textiles 2026 Sustainability Action Plan
At LDI Textiles, sustainability isn’t a trend – it’s foundational to how we design, engineer, and manufacture our materials.
We develop high‑performance textiles for environments where durability, cleanliness, and human health matter most. From the beginning, our work has been guided by a simple principle: sustainable materials must perform in real-world conditions while protecting people and the environment they occupy.
This statement outlines the material health and chemical compliance standards we build into our product development and require throughout our supply chain.
Designed With Safer Chemistry in Mind
LDI Textiles evaluates and develops products around nine core material‑health criteria. Our goal is to meet these standards wherever technology allows – without compromising performance, longevity, or safety.
Our products are designed to align with the following criteria:
- California Proposition 65 compliance
- Low VOC emissions (CDPH Standard Method v1.2 / formerly CA 01350)
- EU REACH compliance, including SVHC requirements
- Practice Greenhealth: HHI Safer Chemicals Challenge compliance
- Living Building Challenge Red List compliance
- Flame‑retardant free (California AB 2998)
- PVC‑free (no vinyl or chlorinated polymers)
- PFAS‑free (including substances restricted under CA AB‑2771)
- Antimicrobial‑free (no biocides)
These targets reflect our focus on occupant safety, and long‑term indoor air quality
Transparency You Can Rely on
LDI Textiles requires transparency across our supply chain and maintains documentation to support material health and chemical compliance.
Where appropriate, we can provide supporting documentation upon request, including compliance declarations, certifications, and standardized disclosure forms to assist specifiers and project teams.
To simplify specification, LDI Textiles offers standardized disclosure resources such as:
- Health Product Declarations (HPDs)
- LEED Declarations
Material Claims We Avoid
We focus on sustainability claims that are accurate, verifiable, and relevant in real‑world conditions.
Because biodegradability can vary widely depending on environment and disposal method, we avoid unsupported biodegradability claims and instead prioritize measurable reductions in harmful chemistry and material impact.
Smarter Manufacturing, Less Waste
LDI Textiles continues to invest in manufacturing processes that reduce waste and energy use.
Our print‑on‑demand upholstery model allows for low minimums – including 5‑yard custom runs – while significantly reducing excess inventory and material sent to landfills. This approach consumes less energy than traditional production methods and supports more responsible material use across the industry.
Recycled Content
We support the use of recycled content when it does not compromise product performance, durability, or safety.
When recycled materials are incorporated, we work to ensure transparency around content percentages, verification methods, and any expected variability in composition.
Built on Accountability
Because even small formulation changes can impact performance and compliance, LDI Textiles maintains close collaboration with our suppliers to ensure consistency over time.
This approach allows us to deliver materials that designers, manufacturers, and end users can trust – project after project.
Our Commitment to You
When you choose LDI Textiles, you’re selecting materials developed with intention – balancing design, durability, and human health. We continuously strive to meet and exceed evolving global standards while supporting the real‑world demands of high‑use environments. Your trust matters to us, and we appreciate every opportunity to earn it.
